- Why do you think Abraham made this journey, despite the uncertainty of not knowing where exactly he would be going?
- Have you ever set out on an uncertain journey? How did it feel? How did it turn out?
- Why might it be important to know that the story of the Jewish people began with a person who went on a journey into the unknown?
- Why do you think Abram couldnt fulfill his mission in his birthplace?

- Is anyone in this story playing the role of a shepherd? If so, who? Why do you say that?
Follow-Up Activities:
- Take a photograph of a person you know who has the qualities of a shepherd. Write a paragraph explaining why you think this person has the qualities of a shepherd.
- Write a story about a journey into the unknown. It could be a true story that happened to you or a made-up story. Take photographs to illustrate your story.
